Mr. Ed Colligan, who holds the position of CEO of the Palm company, should seriously consider his own security. After all, no one knows how Linux fans will react to the message he made during a recent speech at a conference.
"Palm-based Linux-based products will not appear until next year," said Colligan, adding a few words that the company will continue to use Windows Mobile and Garnet OS / Palm OS II in its devices. That is, in the foreseeable future, Palm does not intend to abandon them.
It is worth recalling that for the first time, the company announced about the development of an OS based on Linux quite recently, in May, having greatly pleased many fans of the open-source operating system. The first such devices were supposed to see the light at the end of the year, but less than two months later, as Palm moved the deadlines, explaining its behavior succinctly and, which is no secret, very predictable: “This is what users want.”
