Origami and augmented reality
Modern technologies have already penetrated almost all spheres of our life. People use them to facilitate any of their activities, to accelerate the processes of interaction, as a necessity, a given or a pleasant addition. Naturally, the technologies themselves are developing, among them - user interaction technologies, which allow working with applications not only through familiar manipulators (mice, keyboards, etc.), but with the involvement of a webcam, microphone, etc. Advanced technology reality is used to supplement the data received from the user (the image from the camera) with the data obtained during the internal calculations. It would seem, what have origami?
Suppose we have a certain model that we want to build. There is a diagram that describes how to do this. But in the process of folding at one of the steps, the question arises: “How does it go further?”. The simplest thing in this case is to ask for help from someone who knows the answer to this question. But what to do if you ask no one? Why not ask for help from the computer?
So, our task is to make the computer able to give us hints, based on what we show it (and we show it our unfinished model). One of the easiest ways is to place markers on a sheet, using which the computer could perform the necessary calculations and give us a hint. For these purposes, you can use barcodes - two-dimensional bar codes.

Thus, knowing at what stage we “stuck”, “seeing” what we did, and knowing what should have happened, the computer can draw us clues showing which line and in which direction to make that fold which caused us difficulties.
It would seem that this is not vital. But imagine that a child stays at home alone, shows such a meritorious desire for creativity and faces the difficulty described above. Not being able to get help, he will try to solve the problem himself, it is likely that he will not cope with it and abandon the failed model. What do we get as a result? Firstly, a spoiled mood and nerves spent, secondly, in the future, this child will think twice before embarking on origami.
On the other hand, it may seem that this will tie the child to the monitor, but if you look closely, now the children are already connected to the computer: almost every house has a laptop or PC, they regularly spend time with it. So why not spend it profitably?
