Perian - swiss knife for quicktime

Last week came the final version of the first version of Perian , a free package of the most popular video codecs for the QuickTime player.

The Perian codec pack will add QuickTime Player, as well as programs used with it, support various media formats: MS-MPEG4 v1 and v2, DivX, 3ivX, H.264, FLV1, FSV1, VP6, H263I, VP3, HuffYUV, FFVHuff, MPEG1 and MPEG2 Video, Fraps, Windows Media Audio v1 and v2, Flash ADPCM, Xiph Vorbis, MPEG Layer II Audio. Perian also provides support for AVI, FLV, MKV files and SSA and SRT subtitles.

In the final version, the work of some codecs was improved and the installer was improved, thanks to which we now have a convenient package that removes incompatibility issues in a regular Mac OS X player. Well, I personally have such questions after installing Perian :)
