A short and instructive tale about the Russian Post and mail delivery from China, with illustrations, a prologue and an epilogue.

Prologue

Made an order jewelry from China with the usual postal delivery. It seems that the time was picked up away from the holidays with the usual delivery confusion - at the end of November 2010. We are waiting, as usual, for 3-4 weeks. At the end of December, I receive a call to my mobile and listen to this story. They will call me from Krasnodar (as they introduced themselves, because the caller ID did not work) on the phone number listed on the package. And this package was found in a torn form and enclosed in another package, which they received. And they ask the question - do I want to get it? Not a problem - we agreed to send it to me by cash on delivery for the amount of delivery - I will accept it, pay it, and the sender will receive their money for delivery and anxiety. A month goes by. The understanding comes that they have not sent me anything, and it is not worth waiting any longer. So we will act through official channels.

Part One, Chinese

To begin with, I contact the sender and ask to write an application for a search to the post office of China. They write and receive an official response from the Post of China: “The package has been sent to the address indicated, but there is no confirmation from the Russian side. She disappeared during shipment from Beijing to Moscow, we have no other information. ” With the corresponding picture.

Part Two, Optimistic

There are standard search procedures, especially since there was a certainty that the parcel in Russia meant that at least Mail delivered it, and Customs allowed the importation. We write an application for a wanted form.

In general, no one is to blame. The Chinese sent, followed to Beijing, and then - EK. We did not find them, but we didn’t really want to - there are no complaints from China, the package is in their possession, so let them understand. Ours in Krasnodar just decided not to sweat about treating the incident as angelic help. Here you sit and think, but for what kind of such delivery and insurance were the money paid?
