On the eve of April 1, our analysts decided to see which search queries with the word “anecdote” are of the greatest interest among the audience.

So, we took user groups of different ages and sexes, and similar queries (for example, “anecdotes about women” and “anecdotes about girls”) were combined into one group. What happened?

It turned out that according to the gender data of search queries, the situation with women with humor is better than with men! The affinity index of inquiries about anecdotes for women turned out to be a third more than for men. Recall that the affinity index for men in this case is the ratio of the proportion of requests for anecdotes from men to the proportion of men in the Search.Ru audience.

The most popular request in almost all categories was the query “Jokes about Vovochka”.

"Jokes about women" and "jokes about men" are beginning to interest users in the age group 19-25 years (8.10% and 8.0%) and reach the maximum intensity already in the category after 25 (20.10% and 21.6 %). People are more often interested in anecdotes about the opposite sex, i.e. men are more likely to look for jokes about women (14.5%), and women about men (15.5%).



But "jokes about blondes" interest users only in the category 13-18 (15.3%) and 19-25 (16.3%), a sharp decline in interest was noted after 25 (6.6%). Probably after 25 years are more interested in brunettes? Interestingly, women themselves are also interested in this kind of anecdotes (11.7%)

“Anecdotes about the army” are interesting only after 25 (4.4%), when the relevance of the service is already dropping, and for young people 19-25 years of age, requests are minimal. Apparently, young people try not to think about the army. Interest in this category of jokes was also noted among female audience (3.5%).

“Jokes about love” and “jokes about sex” interest both female and male audience, and about the same (the difference is 0.5% for women and 0.1% for men). But men are still more interested in jokes about sex, and women - about love.

Jokes about vampires from “Twilight”, of course, interest adolescents younger than 19 years old - they have raised this topic to 5th place (7.6%). Curiously, they are read by adult women (6.5%). But men Edward fangs do not attract.

There are almost no jokes about programmers and system administrators in the request lists. Probably, ordinary users are simply afraid to look for them.
