Magnitogorsk to host open technology conference

The Faculty of Informatics of Magnitogorsk State University together with Magnitogorsk Linux User Group (Magnitogorsk Linux User Group ) plans to hold a conference (or a large seminar) on OpenSource technologies in October 2011. The following sections are planned (approximate names):

• OpenSource technology in education;
• OpenSource technologies in computer science, software development;
• OpenSource technology in economics;
• Ensuring information security by means of OpenSource.

Speakers are invited to the conference, including from other cities. It is advisable to send an application for the preparation of the report before April 5 (the reports themselves can be prepared later). According to the results of the conference, a collection will be published, therefore those interested in publications (senior students, graduate students, etc.) are especially encouraged to participate in the seminar. Lodging and meals for speakers for free. It is allowed to have “free listeners” who came to the seminar on their own. At the moment it is planned to use as a base D / O "Birches". Registration of participants is required regardless of the form of participation.

Sample schedule:

• First day - arrival (you can arrive immediately on the second day);
• The second day - plenary session, reports + workshops;
• The third day - the remaining reports + workshops;
• The fourth day - departure.
