Warner Bros. launches some more movies on Facebook

Now an increasingly popular model of monetization of digital video content is the sale or provision of online viewing for a certain amount. Warner Bros. At the beginning of this month, I decided to launch in-test online movie rental on Facebook. As a test sample, they took the film “Black Knight”, which was rolled out on the page of the film on Facebook.

Apparently, the monetization model proposed by the company was successful, and Warner Bros. now launches five more films including The Beginning, Life As It Is, Yoga Yogi, Harry Potter And The Philosopher's Stone, Harry Potter And The Secret Room. In general, really very popular pictures have been chosen that should show their worth in full measure. At least the representatives of Warner Bros. hope so.

Let me remind you that the rental model is quite simple - on the movie page, any Facebook user can pay to view a picture by paying 30 Facebook credits (this is 3 US dollars). This is enough to get access to the film for two days. Judging by the reviews, users like this feature. In general, Warner Bros. I chose a good environment for the implementation of my monetization model - yet half a billion potential viewers (ie, Facebook users) are not bad.

In principle, if the rental of one film was successful, then the rental of these five pictures should also be quite successful, and most importantly, profitable. Perhaps looking at the success of Warner Bros., soon other studios will launch similar rental schemes. Of course, the main difficulty here is to negotiate with the leadership of Facebook.
