In 2009, GM had already announced a similar device. But he was somewhat ugly, too overloaded with details, and so on. We present you a new personal car En-V.
General Motors believes that in the future, people who celebrate the victory of their favorite football team with friends at the bar will not be tormented by a dilemma - get behind the wheel yourself or trust a stranger taxi driver. They will be able to call from their mobile typewriter and she will come to them, and then take them home.
The theme of personal vehicles excites not only us, but also many research laboratories in the world, whose employees, like us, want to travel more civilized distances, waiting until quantum physicists have invented teleportation.

A distinctive feature of these machines from other similar ones is that they move on two parallel wheels, independently maintaining balance with the help of gyroscopes and the balance system borrowed from the Segway. True, this system had to be modified, because the weight of the car increased, the center of mass shifted, and the speed reached speeds of 50 km / h, unprecedented for scooters.
Acceleration compensation for such a weight is carried out with the help of skids, which move back and forth, not allowing EN-V to fall (the video below shows the principle of operation). And these machines will be able to respond to the phone call of the tipsy owner thanks to the autonomous navigation system.
The car, woken up by the owner’s bell, will wake up and drive up to it on its own, carefully skirting obstacles and not colliding with other cars and pedestrians (built-in sensor systems, laser range finders, cameras, pattern recognition systems and other intellectual stuffing).
In principle, EN-V will find its owner even when he has a stray language and cannot dictate his address thanks to the GPS built into most smartphones. Apparently there will be a special application for a mobile phone with a big red button “Take me away from here!”. It remains only to come up with a special robot hiding in the trunk, which will jump out and load the body of his master in the car. :)
The fact that this miracle code will go into mass production, General Motors has not yet specified.
