Exactly 16 years ago, Ward Cunningham created the first web page that anyone could edit.

Today we see the results of this work on almost every corner of the Internet. The asset raised by Ward gave ripe fruits even where no one expected them to appear, for example, in the ecosystem of mobile applications.

In the mid-90s there was only a vision of an open web, where everyone can not only read but also write. Most of the sites did not give any interactivity to the end user. The wiki transformed it all into a unique experience, where writing and sharing information is as easy as reading and consuming it.

While you are reading this, billions of messages are written on millions of web pages. This is the vision that Mr. Cunningham realized 16 years ago, allowing such giants as Wikipedia and many others to appear.
