GUI Meetup Spring: we design and prototype interfaces

This is the first entry in our corporate blog. By all the rules of decency, we introduce ourselves: we are ALEE SOFTWARE company, we have been developing software since 1997 (we developed the electronic archive system STOR-M, a customer interaction management system
Alee CRM, Alee Blaze web content management system, GUI Machine prototyping tool), supplying industrial equipment and conducting active educational activities.
Among our employees there are many readers of Habr, who will soon be retrained as writers. In the meantime, painstaking work on the first article is going on, it will be a question of a less fundamental, but no less relevant thing, of which we are the initiators.

Preliminary GUI Meetup Spring program ( read more ):
Part I dedicated to the GUI Machine prototyping tool :
o Presentation of the tool, new functions, prospects and development plans,
o Master class on website prototyping and desktop applications
Part II, dedicated to the problems and solutions of GUI design and prototyping, usability issues, various techniques :
o Tools and methodologies for designing web projects,
o usability testing based on prototypes
o Designing interfaces based on customer requirements,
o Problems of learning to design interfaces in a technical university.
Summary of the previous series
In winter - January 24, 2011 - we held the first GUI Meetup together with our partners Vaadin , the participants were about 70 specialists from 27 companies of St. Petersburg, Moscow, Obninsk and Turku (Finland): St. Petersburg IAC, Transas, Yandex.Money, LG, Alfa-Bank , CSoft, Ascon, Systematics, UMIStudio and many others. We will not say how interesting and informative it was, a report about the event and feedback from participants will tell for us.
Important information :
- Participation conditions: free of charge, for registration you need to send your data (name, position, company, e-mail, phone) to gui@alee.ru
- GUI Machine licenses will be traditionally drawn at the meeting
- All changes will be on the event page
- For those who can not visit, we will be broadcast in FriendFeed .
