Philips SHB 9000 Bluetooth headset and not only

Hi Habr!

I hasten to share the find, perhaps, many habrazhiteli have long been fed up with the sound of this headset (it has been on sale for more than 2 years) and thrown away on the shelf but, in my opinion, this is one of the devices under the label “musthave” for music lovers and gadgets.

Continued under the cut.

A little (or a lot) about yourself.

Since my childhood I loved music, although not so since my childhood I loved portable devices that can reproduce it. And each time with the advent of a new format: a cassette, CD, mini Disk, MP3, I saved money and bought myself another gadget with newfangled chips, their pluses and minuses, sizes and power consumption.
Accordingly, each new gadget was accompanied by headphones: overhead, plug-in, with a rim, with a mount behind the ear, etc. Those of them that were bundled were often given away, donated, thrown out, and only with rare exceptions was I used for its intended purpose, and even then not more than a couple of months. And their era has always ended with the purchase of new headphones. At the moment, I have about 20 pairs of various headphones from Sony, Panasonic, Koss, Philips, Sennheiser, Technics in my house.
All of them do not belong to expensive models. I could never distinguish a warm WAV tube sound from a worker-peasant 320 kbps. And, despite the fact that I can call myself a music lover, I probably will never be able to consider myself an expert in this matter.

Get to the point.

Knowing my love for headphones and after some tips, I was presented for my birthday (Thanks friends!) Philips SHB 9000 headphones. I turned them on and immediately fell in love!

Sound

As I said earlier, I do not consider myself a great expert in the field of sound, but nevertheless, in my opinion, these are some of the best sounding Bluetooth headphones (listened to: Jabra, Nokia BH-503, Nokia BH-905, Motorola, Sony ). Also, due to the limitedness of the A2DP protocol and the battery charge in the headphones, the ability to connect to a 3.5 mm input can be very useful.

Practicality

On average, I listen to music for an hour - two a day with such a load of one battery charge is more than enough for a week. The headset holds the connection very tenaciously, you must really try to stop the broadcast. In the field, it was found that the headset continues to work at a distance of 20 meters from the sound source (HTC HD2). The only drawback is that during transportation, I sometimes have the call receiving key clamped, which leads to the inclusion of the “pairing” mode (No, the headset is not sent to the bath, it just waits for a connection with the new device) and disconnects from the last device synchronized with it.

Completion

With this topic, I tried to draw the attention of Habrasoobschestva to the device, which, in my opinion, is one of the best in its category. Perhaps I am biased and at the moment there are devices much better and more convenient, but isn't it for this that Habr exists that would share thoughts, thoughts and findings in the field of IT and gadgets. This is my first topic on Habré so I will be glad to hear constructive suggestions related to the general style and lighting of a particular topic. I hope not very tired. Thanks for attention!
