ABBYY Business Card Reader for iPhone 4 released

The other day we released a new, fourth version of the ABBYY Business Card Reader for the iPhone. What is new? First of all, ABBYY BCR 4.0 has learned to recognize the Korean language, and now there are as many as 20 in the recognition language program. But the main innovation is CardHolder, or “Business Card”, a special archive for storing photos of business cards along with recognized data.



Having photographed a business card, the user can select one of the options: add a contact to the address book, save the business card in the "Business Card" or immediately do both.

The archive has a convenient search function, as well as sorting images by name, last name, company name and date added.



On each image areas with a phone, email address and Internet links are highlighted - if you click on them, you can call, write a letter or follow the link (in other words, the function of our “grabbers” is included).



"Card holder" allows, on the one hand, to have detailed information about business contacts, including the image of a business card, on the other - not to overload the address book, while having quick access to data with the ability to search and sort.

There is news for owners of devices on Android: a free version of the BCR for this platform has appeared - ABBYY Business Card Reader Lite for Android. The program recognizes all fields of a business card, but saves only the first name, last name and the first phone found on the business card, looking for contact information only on Facebook.
