EPAM Systems (Minsk), the largest software company in the CIS, has released corporate software for “listening” to forums, blogs and other sources of information on the Internet to study public opinion in real time. The system with the strange name “EPAM-Voice of the Client” is the first Russian-language tool of this kind.
As stated in a
press release , the tool of greatest interest is for companies operating in highly competitive B2C sectors, that is, in banking, insurance, FMCG, telecom, retail, electronic commerce.
The system helps to find answers on the Web that concern businessmen: why consumers choose a competitor's product, what customers are dissatisfied with, where they prefer to buy goods, etc.
“EPAM-Client Voice” is a corporate system (business application), which is based on linguistic algorithms and Opinion Mining technologies, which allow extracting data from various unstructured sources and structure information in the form of a database. As a result, already structured data can be processed with any analytical tools, starting with MS Excel and ending with OLAP, Business Intelligence (BI) and Data Mining systems. The system connects to any analytical tools of any vendors, including SAP, Oracle, SPSS, Cognos, etc.
