On Astronomy Picture of the Day

The well-known scientific organization NASA is quite active on the Internet, there is a lot of interesting information on their website . Among other things, there is such a site in NASA - APOD - Astronomy Picture of the Day. Every day a decent quality unusual and interesting photo of our Universe appears in it. From the most mundane, to the distant-distant galaxies. Photos and descriptions of what is happening here and why it looks like this.

I like astronomy a little, but I haven’t read / recognized anything in recent years. But I read APOD, sometimes I showed my friends especially beautiful photos and told me what was going on there. Then he decided to translate APOD into Russian, but then he stopped : there was a Russian-speaking mirror. Unfortunately, the mirror still gives clean html and does not attract as much attention and visitors as its older English brother. No RSS feeds yet. And the universe is still infinitely beautiful.

I decided to repeat my undertaking and publish materials on my website, in the APOD section in Russian . This time I will not give an exact translation of the original text, but will rather “retell” in my own words, adding something interesting from myself. But ultimately I will translate information from several sources. There are RSS and subscription by e-mail . Added twitter bot @ruAPOD .
