For more than half a year, I have been closely following the tablet PC market (now it seems like Wacom frowns). Over these six months, only a couple of times there was a strong desire to buy a device, but after reading the reviews, it disappeared. The first desire arose with the advent of the first iPad, but, twisting it in my hands, I realized that it was not mine. The second itch in one place began after a review of the Motorola Xoom.
Naturally, the theme of tablet PCs (hereinafter familiarly - tablets) slips on Habré more and more often:

Best tablets 2011During the search, reading a huge number of reviews, dry specifications and comparisons with competitors, I derived simple criteria for choosing the
red or blue pill of my dreams.

')
1. 10 "1024x600 (or somewhere nearby, but you don’t need much - it will eat the battery)
2. Tegra2 or AWP of the latter - should be enough performance
3. The imputed thickness (up to 15mm) - and not to forget about the weight, but extra + - 50 grams will not play a role here. Ideal up to 750 grams
4. The presence of wear-resistant glass is welcome - this is a working tool.
5. Multitouch (estessno!)
6. Android 3! (or the prospect of upgrading to version 3)
7. USB host. I just want to insert a USB flash drive, throw something off, or look at the documents, or ... (invent myself)
8. The battery is not for an hour or 2, at least for 5-6 with average use
9. price - ready to give 600 American money
Where is she, where?
The following devices have fallen into my networks:
Motorola XOOM ,
Pioneer DreamBook ePad H10 HD ,
Olivetti OliPad 100 and so far.
When ranking almost top devices on the market, an interesting picture emerges - there is not a single tablet that would score maximum points - 9 out of 9 (looking at the table - 8, taking into account the unknown screen coverage).

Lines showing the presence or absence of wear-resistant glass and indicating the presence of a multitouch are not representative, but I left them in order not to destroy the sequence
Olipad
As you can see, OliPad is quite a profitable tablet. I use a netbook with a 1024x600 screen - quite enough. But this is not without a spoon of tar: it is not clear how much the battery will hold in the clock and whether it will be possible to add a third Android. But - for a similar hardware at a lower price and USB-host OliPad takes deserved first place.
Motorola XOOM
No USB host. And do not twist it (except for the docking station, I think). For me, this is important, so ZOOM gets honestly earned silver.
Pioneer dreambook
In laggards only because of the information about him on the Internet - the cat cried, and 90% - a copy-paste of the same review.
Maybe a respected Habrasoobshchestvo will tell you - where are the world trends going (lieutenants - to be silent), when to expect a coveted device? Or is it worth to wait?
