Kill the Firebug!
Often in the comments I meet complaints about Fox’s estrus. Know that the reason for this, in most cases - Firebug.
As it turned out, many do not know that Firebug can cause brakes and leaks. For example, a warning pops up in gmail about this.
But what if you need it? The easiest way is to use two different profiles, “developer” with all the plug-ins needed for development and “user” with all the plug-ins needed for surfing.

An additional advantage in the psychological moment - if the developer Fox is running, then I’m working and being distracted now is not worth it.
It's very easy to do this - we launch Firefox with the "-p" flag - we create a clean profile, which we will use later for regular surfing, and leave the old profile for development.
On the desktop, create two shortcuts, first append "-p developer" to the first, and "-p user" to the second. We change one of them (I prefer to replace developer) with an icon - and voila, all the power of Fox in the development and, at the same time, stable and comfortable work while surfing.

In particular, it looks something like this for me:

I can recommend the
Iceweasel icon - Firefox for Debian.

Of course, not the fact that in your particular case it will help, but personally to me and very many among those whom I advised it - really helped.
ps. Try again
to transfer Firefox to ramdisk
