announced the emergence of a new project
Popmoney which will allow receiving and sending money from / to the Visa card worldwide from the second half of 2011.
Users will be able to send payments from one account to another using a 16-digit recipient account number, email address or phone number.
Unfortunately, there will be restrictions on the country (
US only ) and for personal use only (p2p), but given the prevalence of Visa around the world, commercial use of this system and access to users from other countries are not far off.
