Today, eBay has announced new rates for issuing lots, commissions and a shopping cart. More detail under the cut.
One of the highlights of today's announcement - changes in the prices of billing lots and changes in commissions from sales. Basically, these changes will affect sellers. Although customers will drop in the form of an increased number of goods with free shipping.
Let's see what eBay does.

Tariffs for exhibiting lots that are valid now:

Tariffs that will take effect from April 19:

The first thing that catches the eye is that putting any lot up for auction at any price has become free! But as you know free happens only in a mousetrap.
First, the maximum possible commissions for the auction doubled from $ 50 to $ 100.
Secondly - at first glance it seems that nothing has changed in the percentage of commission. But, in fact, there appeared a clarification that now these 9% will be charged on the total purchase price, including delivery, and not just on the cost of the goods as before! This is how eBay decided to put an end to speculation with delivery - when at the cost of goods $ 55 and delivery $ 5.99 a lot was exhibited with a starting price of $ 0.99 and delivery $ 60.
Starting in July, there will be other tariffs for eBay store owners: A smaller percentage than for those who do not have a store, but there is no free billing of lots.

New tariffs will also affect fixed-price goods.
The commission for setting the goods at a fixed price will not change (approx. Subscribers are the owners of the shops):

Here is the commission for the lot sold at a fixed price:

Here are the prices that will be in July:

A couple of percent lower, but the commission is again charged on the full cost of the goods including shipping (and excluding tax if there is one).
Among other things, the Buy it Now button will disappear in July, and the Add to cart button will appear instead. It will be possible to add several products to the cart, compare them and then pay for everything at one stroke (for now, only with the help of paypal, but other payment systems promise to connect). The lots on which you bet - automatically fall into your basket. Those. until you pay, the lot set at a fixed price will not be considered sold.
A 5% discount for PowerSeller sellers will also be canceled, but a 20% discount for Top Rated remains subject to the condition that this discount will not apply to the delivery price.
The new sellers, whose first sale was less than 90 days old, had less than 25 sales, had less than $ 250 earned, or whose rating was lower than the standard, they would be given money only 3 days after eBay received confirmation of delivery or 7 days after the estimated delivery dates.
There will be some not so global changes, some more changes are promised to the announcement in May.
Those who earned honestly, without making money on delivery - in general, it became a bit better for them, and for those who earned on the difference in delivery - it will soon be very difficult.
