Twitter added the ability to permanently use HTTPS to improve security.
Twitter has taken a big step towards increasing the security of accounts by adding a new setting “Always use HTTPS”. HTTPS (Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure) allows the use of an encrypted connection between networks and users. This creates a secure tunnel through, in fact, a chaotic web, reducing the likelihood that someone will get access to user account information such as an open Wi-Fi network.
Twitter has offered HTTPS access for some time. But, starting from today, users can activate HTTPS permanently by going to their settings and selecting the “Always use HTTPS.” Option. These users will always be logged in to Twitter via HTTPS, and not HTTP. ')
It is also noted that their mobile website is still not able to translate to HTTPS completely. That is, users now need to make sure that they are logged into HTTPS: // mobile.twitter.com, and not http: /// mobile.twitter.com, if they want to work through a secure connection. Twitter reports that they are working on a solution that will make HTTPS a permanent element for both the mobile website and Twitter.com.
