
Google has updated the Street View service. Changes include the illumination of various attractions in the world, where Street View is available, places, gdn are Street View cars and more.
Probably the most interesting part of the
site is the map, which shows exactly where you can see the pictures of the streets. The service has come a long way since its inception in March 2007, when it covered only a few large cities. It now covers most of North America, Australia, New Zealand and Western Europe and parts of Japan, Indonesia and Brazil.
The new Street View site also includes a set of instructions for using the service, and explains the technology behind 360-degree street imagery. You can also see 3D models of Google cars that were designed to collect images in places where ordinary cars cannot drive, such as motorcycles, snowmobiles, and carts.
