In Google, a new feature to block individual sites in the personal issue

The other day in the Google blog there was information that a new feature was introduced in the search engine - the ability to create your own black list of sites in personal issue. In other words, if you see that one of the search results from a certain resource does not suit you, you can quickly hide it forever - but only for yourself, loved one. To use such a function, you simply need to click on an additional link in the search results next to one of the results.

So far, these links work for issuing not all countries and not in all browsers, but the developers promise to expand this feature for all Google users who have an account in the system. It is clear that for those who do not have a Google account, or those who are not logged in, this feature is not available. Currently, this feature works for an English-language search engine, and is supported by browsers such as Chrome (understandably), Internet Explorer and Firefox.

If you have blocked something by mistake, you can restore an unfairly offended site in personal extradition by going to your account settings. In addition, when performing each blocking operation, the inscription “Manage blocked sites” appears (I remind you that all this is relevant only for English-speaking Google), where you can manage blocked sites.

Developers do not yet apply user ratings and their “black lists” in ranking sites in search results. However, the “search team” is looking for new ways to evaluate and improve search results, so it is quite possible that this data will be used in the future.

Let me remind you that Google has been actively fighting search spammers and content farms for a couple of months, for which a plugin for Chrom e was developed, a new search algorithm was introduced, and now this function has been added. Some content farms, for example, Mahalo , have already felt the change in the work of the search algorithm, and began to lay off employees.
