Alternativa3D 7.7.0 Update

We have long been going to implement dynamic lighting in Alternativa3D 7, but for various reasons put it off. Most of all we were afraid that the lighting system at the level of the architecture of the engine will greatly reduce the overall performance.

And finally, we managed to find an effective solution! Now Alternativa3D 7 for FlashPlayer 10 has dynamic lighting. We also made some improvements to the engine and fixed bugs. Download Alternativa3D 7.7.0 from the official site .




List of changes:

• Added light source classes: AmbientLight, DirectionalLight, OmniLight, SpotLight.
• Added materials that implement lighting: VertexLightMaterial, FlatShadingMaterial, AverageLightMaterial, NormalMapMaterial.
• Added reflection imitation material: SphericalEnvironmentMaterial.
• Vertex: properties normalX, normalY and normalZ are added.
• Mesh: added calculateVerticesNormals () method. The calculateNormals () method is renamed to calculateFacesNormals ().
• Implemented the ability to display light sources in debug mode.
• Added the ability to clone materials using the clone () method.
• Camera3D: added lookAt () method.
• RayIntersectionData: added a toString () method.
• AnimationCouple: changed the type of the left and right properties to AnimationNode.
• ParserCollada: support for light sources.
• Sprite3D: fixed bug in intersectRay () method.
• Skin: fixed errors in the clone () and attach () methods.
• KDContainer: fixed tree building error.
