SmartLabels: automatic letter sorting

Last August, Gmail introduced the automatic filtering feature of the Priority Inbox , which earned mixed reviews. The negative ones were mostly from geeks who like to customize the filters themselves, while the majority of ordinary users really feel more comfortable .

Now, Gmail Labs has developed another function for automatic sorting of SmartLabels letters (activated in the Settings - Labs settings menu). The idea is about the same as in Priority Inbox - leaving only direct letters from living people in the Inbox. Everything else is filtered with labels Notifications (automatic notifications from various services), Forums (discussions) and Bulk (mass mailings).



In the settings, you can specify that letters labeled Notifications, Forums and Bulk are not displayed in the Inbox.
