Microsoft hires new employees to work on a new generation game console

Microsoft has recently published several announcements on hiring new employees on LinkedIn. These ads were first discovered by users of the beyond3d forum, who concluded that the corporation is now going to actively work on creating a new generation game console, i.e. the next generation of the Xbox 360. Of course, this does not mean that we will see the console later this or next year, but work is underway on it, it is a fact.

A total of three vacancies were posted for such positions: graphics architect, senior engineer, senior performance architect. In all published vacancies it appeared that employees were required to develop the next-generation console architecture, from concept to real device. Thus, it can be understood that Microsoft is in the very early stages of developing a new console.

Perhaps we will be able to see the first prototypes (of course, there will be “leaks”, they simply can not be) the console from Microsoft as early as 2012-2013, but now it’s hard to guess when the finished device comes out. Interestingly, the corporation itself so far does not give any comments about the published vacancies, nor about the gaming console itself.

By the way, Microsoft hopes that its gaming console will be able to go through a life cycle of ten years, so most likely, a new generation of Xbox will appear somewhere closer to 2015. In any case, Xbox 360 sales will continue during the current five-year period. In general, if there are people on Habré who have enough experience to get employed in such positions, you can try. And then secretly send photos of the prototype, so that they appear here first :-)
