Warner Bros. launches online movie rental on Facebook

Large media companies are creating more and more projects that allow you to sell content on the Web. So, recently, Amazon has launched its own movie rental service; now it is the turn of the media corporations Warner Bros. The management of this company introduces a pilot project for the rental of films in the social network Facebook. In this film can be rented directly on the page of the picture. Now only one film, “The Black Knight,” has been launched, and if everything goes well, soon you can pay for Facebook to watch a lot of movies.

The rental principle is quite simple - a registered Facebook user enters the movie page, pays for viewing it at the rate of 30 Facebook credits ($ 3), and gets access to the online movie theater with this movie for 48 hours. In general, everything is quite simple. By the way, while there is no data about the quality in which it will be possible to watch the movie, nor about the language features of viewing. All this information will arrive a little later, according to representatives of Warner Bros.

Movie rental provides access to the film for two days, as mentioned above. At the same time, the film can be stopped and inspected later, if necessary (within the specified period).

It is worth noting that a similar project, in case of successful passing the test with this very “Black Knight”, becomes the largest competitor to all existing online movie / show / TV broadcasts. After all, Facebook has an audience of more than 500 million users, and all users automatically become potential customers of Warner Bros.

Unfortunately, the terms of the agreement with Facebook are unknown - and after all, obviously here "smells like millions." In general, we are waiting for the development of events, while you can bet on the success or failure of the project.
