Mobile Firefox 4 beta 5

The news is not today, but no one seems to have spoken about it at Habrahabr, so I will be the first: know that the Mozilla Foundation has released the fifth beta of its mobile browser. The release notes focus primarily on improving stability and speed of work, and I myself also noticed this above all: the fifth beta, compared with the fourth (not to mention the third), looks and behaves much more brightly, and even rather complex sites, the speed of their rendering does not lag behind the speed of scrolling the page with your fingers, although this was incredibly awesome before. Reduced the time of the initial launch of the browser, decreased memory consumption and computing power.

Paying tribute to speed, I mention four other news worth mentioning:

1) The number of extensions composed for Mobile Firefox has increased . Among them are ported or rewritten (for example, Adblock Plus, NoScript, wmlbrowser), and there are written specifically for mobile Firefox (not existing for its computer version) - I liked Full Screen , for example.

2) Owners of the Android system version 2.2 (or newer) will notice that now Firefox is dragging the user profile onto the SD if transferred to the SD application itself.

3) Users of the new Google Nexus S will not enjoy this beta yet, because in some circumstances it hangs on the Nexus S. Employees of Google and the Mozilla Foundation are working together to fix this problem.

4) On some old test builds of Cyanogenmod 7, mobile Firefox crashes altogether , but this is fixable by upgrading to the latest versions of Cyanogenmod.
