UPA Russia Workshop with Nigel Bevan
On May 28, 2007, a UPA Russia seminar was held in the 1C conference hall, where Nigel Bevan, ISO standards author on usability, UPA director of professional development spoke. The topic of his report is “Determinants of Usability”. In addition to Bevan, the following persons spoke at the seminar: Alexander Bezborodov and Dmitry Filev “Announcement of World Usability Day 2007”, Dmitry Satin “Certification of the HFI CUA”, Alexey Chumakov “Customer-oriented development”.

Dmitry Satin. Availability of information for people with disabilities
Accessibility of information for all people is a concept that has become widespread in the USA, the UK and the European Union, thanks to the adoption of laws in these countries that require equal rights for people to access information, regardless of the physical and cognitive difficulties that they may experience due to temporary or chronic disorders and diseases.
Anatoly Kostin. Review of the conference "The human factor in aviation and astronautics"
On June 13-15, 2007, in the ancient village of Yaropolets near Volokolamsk, the 3rd Conference on Human Factors in Aviation and Astronautics was held, which gathered both veterans of the national ergonomics and young researchers. Despite the fact that the problems of usability were not actually considered at the conference, its generic connection with ergonomics makes it interesting to understand the situation in this industry. This is all the more significant if you remember that it was in aviation and astronautics that ergonomics received its main development.
Konstantin Samoilov. Re-election RusCHI
On June 1, 2007, elections were held in the RusCHI community. Were selected: Chairman of the community: Konstantin Samoilov, Deputy Chairman: Dmitry Satin, Secretary: Ivan Degtyarenko. From the whole community I thank all the participants of the first board who created, preserved and developed the community.
