On the occasion of the upcoming women's holiday, the news about the technology that was presented at the CeBIT 2011 exhibition in Hannover seemed interesting to me. The idea is not new, but anyway, I myself would not have dared to tell the girl that the shadows are somehow not very ... But the computer;)
Employees of the
Max Planck Institute (judging by the site, are engaged in astronomy and not only) showed the technology, which based on the analysis of the facial structural lines, offers the girl tips on how to apply makeup for various cases. The bottom line is this: with the help of a camera (one or more, resolution - unfortunately, there are no details), the software gets a three-dimensional model of the face, which is analyzed taking into account features such as freckles, moles and general skin tone. The results of the analysis are compared with the existing 60th models of makeup for various types of persons and recommendations are given on the best use for different cases. For example, the program will offer one make-up for a business meeting, another for a night club, and a third for the university. The technology is currently available only for girls and at the research stage, but, as Himangsho Saikia says, the technology developer, it may soon be adapted for commercial use.
Personally, it seems to me that the developers are somewhat arrogant about the desire of girls to follow the advice of a computer program in such a delicate area as make-up;)
