Good afternoon, I want to tell you about the first look at MacOS X 10.7. What I saw was very different from what the enthusiasts were saying for the better. At the moment, you can get a disk image in 2 ways:
first and with the help of The Pirate Bay. The image weighs 3.59 GB.
Installation
The system was installed on top of Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard. What is most remarkable is that the installation can be done directly from the mounted image, the owners of MB Air without a drive will surely like it. The installation is fully automatic, the installer does not ask any questions. All I did: clicked on "Install" and waited about half an hour. After installing my desktop, bookmarks in the browser, downloads Transmission and even the history of Chrome remained in place.
First look
Finder
Finder himself suffered, in my opinion, many changes for the better.

The icons have become more accurate, especially those that are in the sidebar (now it looks like in iTunes). Now it is possible to group files, it turns out some kind of coverflow in several lines. The style of “Quick View” has also changed, although it has a
strange behavior with the “maximize to full screen” button - the button sometimes disappears, but this seems to be the cost of the test version.

')
Dock
There is something incomprehensible with it: there is no light, which says that the application is hanging in memory, the new Launchpad icon is not removed, but everything else is the same.

Launchpad
This thing seemed to me the most incomprehensible, buggy and unnecessary (this is my IMHO). Lunchpad opens a kind of iPad launcher with application icons and Stacks.

Pictures are clickable. Glitches: on my MacBook it slows down the opening of the stack, and I also have 8 sheets of applications, in 4 sheets of one application per page, and the applications cannot be moved.
TextEdit
When I saw my favorite application, I cried bloody tears. I hope everything will be fixed. So far, this is similar to the student’s first XCode application for a term student.

Mail
Mail has become much better, everything is clear without words:

The address book
Now it looks like an address book:

View
Viewing, unfortunately, is still damp: sometimes inscriptions are not hidden, sometimes select boxes run away. From the new: Ability to select the appearance of thumbnails in the side panel and small cosmetic changes. And about box drove me into a light stupor:

Other

I liked the possibility of opening the application to full screen. Crawling on the Internet for MB Air will be much more convenient. You can deploy (for now?) Only standard applications (and not all). Most surprised that you can open the terminal, but you can not open TextEdit. Now you can save running applications when you restart or turn off the computer.
Apple gets a great update, but at the moment it is damp, so it's best to wait.
thanks
to the Apple department in sec. Severodvinsk for providing a laptop.
