Many companies are engaged in the development of free software, in particular, operating systems. Ubuntu, Linux, Mandriva Linux, Fedora ... You can transfer for a long time. Users enjoy using the programs, but at the same time they are tormented by the question: where, in this case, are the money taken from those who do not sell their product?

It is assumed that such enterprises exist on the money of sponsors, states ... What guesses do not build on the Internet users. The editors of the Internet TV channel SLTV surveyed three companies: Mandriva, Canonical and Red Hat. Their representatives briefly described the business models of their firms. It turns out that the developers of free software are living in a poor way, although, of course, they cannot yet boast of multibillion-dollar profits.
