By the nature of my service, I often use
PostgreSQL help starting from version 8.x. And if earlier on
the documentation page of the site it was possible to find a help file for downloading the
CHM , then for version 9.0 (I suppose that further) there is no such possibility.
Immediately I will answer why using the online version is unbearable - the documentation consists of 1036 topics and, on top of that, I do not like searching on the site. It is also worth noting that the CHM version's table of contents tree speeds up navigation by a factor of ten!
My good friend, a passionate Perl lover and part-time
habazlam, set about creating a utility capable of compiling help in the CHM format from a set of html / sgml files that come with the server source. He managed it well. The only thing that needs some work is the Indexes (keyword search). However, even without this, it is a hundred times more convenient to use such a manual than an online equivalent.

For all sufferers link:
postgresql-9.0.chmUPD: The main tsimus of the CHM format for 1036-dark manuals is the full-text index, without which Dontsov will read just right, and the manual postrogovy - you are crazy!
habazlamUPD: Who can not run the file, right-click on it, then Properties -> Unlock. Problem CHM file "downloaded from the Internet." My fault - it was necessary to put in the archive.
