ICANN approved the domain "Ukrainian" for Ukraine

ICANN announced the completion of the second stage for Ukraine to acquire its Cyrillic domain.

Ukraine has been allocated a combination of letters "ukr" (xn - j1amh) for use as a first-level domain.

On behalf of the Ukrainian government, Yuriy Goncharuk, Director General of the Ukrainian Network Information Center (USITS), is listed as a contact person.

According to ICANN rules, registration of first-level domains consisting of letters of non-Latin alphabets is carried out in three stages. Ukraine has to go through one more stage for the final launch of the domain.
