On Sunday, February 27, 2011, Adobe opened access to the beta version of Molehill 3D API for Flash Player 11. This technology uses a graphics card for image processing, allowing you to achieve high-quality modern graphics in browser applications. Download the first public builds (builds), documentation, and the Flex SDK
toolkit from
labs.adobe.com in the
AIR and Flash Player Incubator section.
However, to appreciate the advantages of Molehill is possible only by the example of technological demonstrations. We present the
MAX Racer demo project, created on the basis of our own
Alternativa3D 8 engine specifically for Flash Player 11 with the Molehill 3D API. It was he who served as the basis for the presentation of Molehill at the Adobe MAX 2010 conference. MAX Racer is a prototype of a racing game where you can ride around the neighborhoods of the Los Angeles Exhibition Center, driving a car from a keyboard, as well as a steering wheel, joystick or gamepad. Soon on the website
alternativaplatform.com in the section “
Projects ” there will be another demonstration - “Islands Online”.

The release of the beta version of Alternativa3D 8 is scheduled for April 2011. The engine will be distributed free of charge, but when using it, a link to the alternativaplatform.com website is required.
