On Thursday morning, the group Anonymous carried out a deface of the site of the Baptist Church of Westboro Baptist Church (WBC). This would not have been remarkable if the hacking had not been carried out live on a talk show on the radio , in which a church representative and a member of the group Anonymous participated (of course, anonymously via Skype). In the middle of a conversation, activist Anonymous announced to a religious fanatic that their site westborobaptistchurch.com had just been hacked ( screenshot ).
On the hacked website, the WBC local network map is laid out, hackers have set up a special website on the WBC system to access the system from the outside (the fags.php script), so the firewalls, WBC routers and printers are open to everyone.
On Twitter, Anonymous wrote that, compared to the HBGary hack, this hacking was completely easy.

Even if we leave out the obvious fact that this performance was certainly agreed with the program presenter, the trend itself is interesting. Anonymous people from cyberspace are not just hacking sites. but they do it defiantly and take pride in their actions without even fearing the consequences. It looks as if they are confident that the power in cyberspace belongs to them. Their duty as cyber-elites is to fight evil in all its manifestations.
On the WBC site, on behalf of Anonymous, a message was left, stating that hackers had the opportunity to hack the site before, but did not. Moreover, Anonymous has repeatedly stated that they are not interested in contacting the WBC. However, the Baptists continued to insult and threaten, so that in the end Anonymous’s patience was exhausted.
The WBC Church is known for its scandalous acts. For example, they organize demonstrations right at the funeral of American soldiers, disrupting the mourning ceremony.
