Good day, dear habrazhiteli. We want your attention to present a literary startup
escalibro . This is not another library of books! I would like to see how the future geniuses of the pen (keyboard) will develop on the pages of our project.
In 2 words about the history of the project
It all started with the fact that there was a desire to share their works with readers. Someone puts his works on services like LJ, but still it is a blog, and is not designed for convenient organization of such content. Others are familiar with the electronic magazine “Samizdat”, a rather popular tool for writers, but I'm sorry, time is ticking and Internet users are becoming more sophisticated, and then it seems that the author of the service is no longer engaged in it at all ...
As a result, a certain idea appeared, as is usually the case, and turned into something interesting that can be shared with the public.

Details
The project has grown quite quickly, and continues to implement new ideas. Here are some of those that you want to pay attention to:
- The publication of their own works, with the possibility of organizing the series. Online editing and downloading of content from files of various formats (doc, docx, odt, txt);
- Convenient reading with paginated navigation (custom setting of the number of lines on a page) and saving the last position;
- The ability to add other authors in collaboration with the work;
- Blog system - personal and collective, for posting news;
- News allows you to keep track of updates to books, posts and comments to your books \ posts;
- The ability to import works and posts from Samizdat and other sites that support RSS;
- Social authorization (Google, VKontakte, Facebook, other OpenID);
- The system of detection and notification of typos (by pressing Ctrl + Enter);
- Each work posted on our service is subject to licensing by Creative Commons.
Notes
The project is written in Django. Works a bunch of Nginx + Tornado.
Conclusion
The development and updating of the project will not stop there, many more ideas have not been implemented, and many interesting things lie ahead. Always glad to see you on our project!
Sincerely, Escalibro.
PS We also have support for themes, but there are no designers among us and we simply could not do more than the 1st theme.
PPS A designer is required on a voluntary basis. And also we are looking for people interested in the development of the project, we are ready to communicate and realize your wishes.
