Vietnamese ISPs block access to game servers from 22:00 to 8:00
The Vietnamese Ministry of Information and Communication sent orders to Internet providers to block Vietnamese users' access to game servers from March 22 to 8:00 until March 3, 2011. This step is another attempt by the ministry to overcome the negative effects of online gaming, which is very popular in Vietnam.
Well, now the Vietnamese teenagers will have to return to traditional entertainment, such as alcohol and gambling. Apparently, the Vietnamese authorities are guided by the same logic as the Belarusian psychologists. For example, this is what the main official newspaper of the country writes about this (the words of Natalia Grigorieva, assistant professor of psychiatry and medical psychology at the State Medical University, are quoted):
“Paid online games are skillfully designed programs for siphoning money. The staff of first-class psychologists often takes part in the development of such projects. They tell the screenwriters how best to design the entertainment plot, select the color scheme for the site, come up with bonuses. All this helps to delay the curious person in the entertainment. However, there is another interesting point.Unlike a computer game that does not require access to the Internet, online fun has no end.All virtual characters in it are led by living people. And this means that, being dependent on such entertainment, the player will not be able to get out of it on her own. ')
It is not uncommon for people who are drawn into online entertainment to embark on antisocial paths. The brain center responsible for getting pleasure, accustomed to a pleasant dose. Then overdue gamers start to steal. The jewels of parents and loved ones are being taken out of their apartment.Steal money from pretty drunk citizens.Pull out wallets from peers.
Not so long ago, a 24-year-old boy entered our department who lost a good job, stopped paying attention to his wife and an 8-month-old child. He often carried out household appliances from an apartment and even spent child allowance on online games. ”
