Me, HTC S620 and Apple iPhone

A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away ... And no, not so. I am a geek, a technogic. I love gadgets and a variety of advanced hi-tech devices.
From my dream I dream of such a thing that would fit everything in the world. But progress is moving so slowly that the device is born gradually, it seems with the speed of the cochlea.
We have to be content with what we have. One of the most favorite gadgets is a cell phone. I choose each of my pipe painfully and carefully, so that the joy of owning it does not dissolve after the announcement of the next model, which is usually a little steeper.
Another time to upgrade came up, and decided to change my Siemens CX65 (I note that Jimm + Opera Mini decently “pumped” the handset) with something from Windows Mobile powered.
After a six-month selection, I decided to purchase the HTC S620.
Phone "dream": 320x240, QWERTY, Wi-Fi, mp3, video, Outlook ... The phone was bought on January 9, at 6 pm ...

I came home with the purchase, joyful, turned on the PC and let's study the device. at 22: ++ on ICQ I get a message from a friend:
“Bought a mobile phone? You can throw it out, see the Internet about the iPhone. ” Put the phone aside, and let's rustle, including Habra.
It immediately became clear that the “dream” phone turned into a second in the past century :) The Apple iPhone is my benchmark. By design, by convenience, by technology ... by everything.
The study of the S620 has continued with less enthusiasm :)
The next day, I downloaded the full keynote from iTunes in order to see the presentation from the first person, and not from 100 sites. In truth, it’s better to see once
than 100 to hear. I admit, this was the first Jobs speech that I saw. His style of presenting new products stunned me so much that for 2 hours I was fascinated.
A rare Hollywood movie could also catch my attention. Of all the chips I saw (not counting of course the multi-tach :)), I was shocked by the widget for Google Maps.
It seemed to me that in just 3 touches Jobs got all the information he wanted. And I urgently wanted to have the same thing at home.
Inet then dazzled that in Russia the iPhone will appear only in 2008, and that is not 100%. The desire to have such a widget did not fade away, and I don’t want to throw out the 620th.
I decided to program similar for him.
And so :) pushMap.
As we all remember, the work of the widget Jobs showed the example of an order of 4000 cups of coffee for viewers in Moscone West.
To demonstrate the work of pushMap, I propose to use a hypothetical habradelegation from (from?) Ukraine arrived at the Kiev railway station in Moscow :)
Demonstration will be in comparison mode. When developing software, I tried to follow all Jobs steps.

		There is an interesting point. When I first viewed the keynote and spent the evening surfing on January 9, I was “overlooked” by the coolness of the iPhone. For some reason, it seemed to me that the cooperation between Apple and AT & T is so close that it gives very cool results. Like the location of the iPhone without GPS, on cellular bases. Then it seemed, why not? AT & T provides a base with the coordinates of the towers, and the iPhone determines the location of the service through which service thread. With this, I also linked the "training of operators" to which Aplle appeals, answering the questions "why in Europe and Asia the product will be only half a year after the USA". Recently revised keynote. It turns out Steve uses the usual bookmark. but it was too late, I already implemented the location determination function by cell :)
		Steve had a location, and so did we. As you can see from the screenshot - Europe Square, Kiev Station.

As you probably already understood from the screenshots, the map, the search through the streets and restaurants is carried out thanks to the Resident company www.eatlas.ru .
