Acer believed in the Chrome OS operating system offered by search giant Google and presented its first (and hopefully not the last) creation managed by an Internet-based cloud OS. Do you think this is a banal netbook or a more up-to-date tablet? No, Acer has prepared a surprise - multimedia display. Very unexpectedly, but nevertheless the reality is exactly this:
According to Western publications, Acer DX241H will use Acer technology to create a single multimedia home network
clear.fi . The display itself is powered by ARM Cortex-A8, has a LAN, HDMI and USB ports, is equipped with a VGA interface. Regarding the screen itself, the diagonal is 24 ", and the maximum resolution is 1920x1080 pixels, that is, you can comfortably watch FullHD-video.
However, it should be noted that the detailed specifications of the device are unknown, but will be officially published at CeBIT, which starts next week.
Thus, Chrome OS and its open analog Chromium OS can become a strong player in the embedded market, and not, as expected, miniature netbooks and tablets. Given that Google offers a fairly good application store, for the sake of a ready-made ecosystem, many manufacturers may prefer a ready-made solution from Google or try to create their own infrastructure by joining the free Chromium project.
Acer DX241H will be sold at a price of about 12 thousand rubles.
