National Communications Regulatory Commission fights against illegal providers in Ukraine
The head of the National Communications Regulatory Commission, Vladimir Oleinik, believes that by the end of this year, there will be practically no illegal home networks and Internet providers left on the market.
“Law enforcement agencies in recent years have been actively engaged in the issue of illegal networks, constantly checking them. We introduce the conditions of activity in which technical requirements are set out for the construction of own networks by Internet operators. A communication inspection will be able to carry out state supervision of them. In the case of technical violations, such operators will be subject to administrative fines, ”says Vladimir Oleinik.
As you can understand, even legal communication providers that work with violations can be excluded from the registry. In the case of continuing work on an illegal basis, such activity will be considered by the legislators as a criminal offense. ')
Currently, the National Communications Regulatory Commission has declared the necessary procedure for maintaining a register of companies providing communication services. It is worth noting that companies do not need to obtain a license to work as an Internet provider. It is enough to send a special notice to the Commission of the intention to provide Internet services.
Experts believe that the new rule will allow existing Internet service providers to develop their own telecommunications infrastructure. True, you can only act strictly following the letter of the law.
