Wopad WR701 - 7-inch tablet with a capacitive screen from China (part 2)

Finally found the time to continue the review of the Chinese tablet Wopad WR701. More than a month has passed since the acquisition, and I can safely draw conclusions. This is the second part of the review, in which I will touch the "interior" of the device. In the first part you can find information about the "exterior".

The owner of the device meets the standard lock-screen.

As you can see in the upper part of the screen there are control buttons (from left to right: home (left corner) [there are indications about running applications, signal level, battery, time], volume control, back, menu) It should be noted that in most applications this the menu remains visible. This is especially convenient because There is no physical home button in the device.


The standard launcher has 5 desktops, but does not know how to reorient the desktop.

By default, there was no Russian keyboard. And after a short search, Swype was chosen, only due to the presence of arrows to navigate through the text.



The device is great for evening / morning viewing habra-news. :-)

By the way, multitouch supports up to 5 touches.

The settings section is different from what I saw in HTC devices. For example, there is a USB Mode select menu, where usb switches to host mode, allowing you to mount flash drives. NTFS, of course, does not see, but all available flash drives from 1 to 16 Gb were easily identified (including one old noname).

Scant standard stuffing information.

Already more. It is embarrassing that the processor shows 311.44MHz of the promised 600. But 720p video shows, and this is the main thing :-).

Still, I managed to find a toy maze that normally communicates with the g-sensor of my device. But in 3D mode it is terribly slow.


Toys with simple graphics work without problems.

Earned only Skype which was pre-installed (skype beta). I managed to log in and write a text message. Voice calls did not work. Skype failed from the market even failed to login.

Of the amenities, explorer was still preinstalled, which normally sees a flash drive.

Now a little about sad things:
- failed to connect 3g modem (ZTE MF627).
- there are games like tanchiki and birds (well, that was expected).
- long charge - about 5-6 hours.
- failed to start voice search.

But in general, the device is satisfied. A load test showed that a 5-hour video session was not a problem for him. In general, charging lasts for 10-12 hours, i.e. it charges 1 time per day.
