Google adds support for another 12 popular file types to the Google Docs Viewer online viewer. It is argued that it is not only more secure, but also allows you not to litter the hard drive.
So now you can view:
Microsoft Excel (.XLS and .XLSX)
Microsoft PowerPoint 2007/2010 (.PPTX)
Apple Pages (.PAGES)
Adobe Illustrator (.AI)
Adobe Photoshop (.PSD)
Autodesk AutoCad (.DXF)
Scalable Vector Graphics (.SVG)
PostScript (.EPS, .PS)
TrueType (.TTF)
XML Paper Specification (.XPS)
')
That is, now not only full support for file types from Microsoft Office, but also the ability to quickly view several other popular file types.
In Gmail, attachments of these types will receive a “View” link - with which you can open them in Google Docs Viewer.
And, of course, in addition to this, they can be downloaded into Google Docs. More about Google Docs Viewer can be read here .
