We finally got to the tablet HTC! It seemed the most controversial, but also the most interesting tablet on the MWC. The company frankly pushed for all the latest tablet trends: made the gadget compact, packed it in a metal case, ignored NVIDIA Tegra 2, did not chase the latest version of Android and use the words Tab and Pad in the model name. But - they transferred their Sense to the big screen, added another way to interact with the device and provided access to exclusive services.
Why seven inches? To fit in a jacket pocket - it's simple. The screen of the new tablet is made by Super LCD technology, its resolution is 1024 x 600 pixels. The processor is not dual-core, but with a frequency of 1.5 GHz, FullHD-video plays without problems. RAM - 1 GB, and the internal memory - 32 GB (there is an expansion slot). GPS, Wi-Fi b / g / n, Bluetooth 3.0, support 3 and 3.5 G - full wireless stuffing.

Surprisingly, the Android version of the HTC Flyer is 2.2 Froyo, and not at all the 3.0 Honeycomb. HTC believes that the “troika” is still damp, and the Sense interface - a special tablet version - allows you to work on this tablet with the "two" as well. However, the update to the Honeycomb HTC is planning to release - however, the time has not yet called. Naturally, Android 3.0 on Flyer will be released immediately with the Sense shell.
There are two cameras: at the rear - 5 megapixels, in front - 1.3 megapixels. The front can and should be used for video calls - the new tablet comes preloaded with Skype Mobile. By the way, you cannot call using a tablet in a cellular network, for example, with the first Galaxy Tab.
Battery capacity - only 4,000 mAh. Is not it enough? They promise up to 4 hours of video playback and up to almost 1300 hours in standby mode, but how much the gadget will live in real life - practice will show.
A special electronic pen is attached to the Flyer tablet. At any time, you can draw something on the screen (for example, make edits to a document or emphasize something on a web page), save a screenshot or send it by mail or post it on Facebook. Useful, fit chip.
On the new HTC tablet, two exclusive services will be available. The first is HTC Watch - video-on-demand service. The film from the catalog can be bought, or you can rent it. The second - the game and the "cloud", called OnLive. The bottom line is that the game runs on a remote server. Commands are sent from the tablet to the other side, and it receives a video stream back. In general, now on the Android gadget you can play more interesting things Angry Birds. All these services will be available in Russia (although it is not clear in what form).
The start of Flyer sales is scheduled for the end of April, so it’s not long to wait for the miracle pill. There is, however, one sadness: it will cost as much as one and a half “ipad” - about 30,000 rubles.
