Google, Facebook and other large companies want to buy Twitter

For several days now, rumors have been circulating on the Web that the leadership of various large companies, including Facebook and Google, is in talks with Twitter's microblogging service. The subject of negotiations is the possible purchase of this service. Today The Wall Street Journal has published confirmation of these rumors, so that everything is more or less officially. Remember, you first wanted to buy Twitter for 500 million, then for a couple of billions, and then for 5-6 billion US dollars? So, now there is already a more impressive amount - 10 billion US dollars.

So far, the ongoing negotiations are preliminary, and Facebook, Google, and some other companies immediately jumped at the opportunity to acquire such a promising service. They are willing to spend $ 10 billion to purchase the service, although it is clear that the Twitter market price should be much less.

For example, last year the service first came to profitability, having received several “infusions” from Google, Microsoft and other companies. Plus, Twitter has earned on advertising, however, only $ 45 million, which is almost nothing for a service of this scale and popularity. True, Twitter received another 360 million investment. All this has raised the price of the service to 3.7 billion dollars.

Interestingly, the service management claims that they are still not interested in selling Twitter, although negotiations are still being held. The company's management claims that Twitter is promising enough to become a multi-billion dollar company in a couple of years, the market value of which can reach $ 100 billion.

Well, it remains only to monitor how the negotiations are held, and to be surprised at the ever-increasing cost of service.
