Nokia refused to develop a smartphone on MeeGo

Nokia refused to develop its first smartphone on MeeGo.

It is reported by Reuters, citing two sources close to the company. Nokia declined to comment.

This may indicate that the company will soon abandon the operating system as a whole.

The MeeGo platform was created early last year as a result of the merging of Linux platforms from Nokia and Intel — Maemo and Moblin.
