Alien Dalvik to run Android applications on Maemo / MeeGo OS

The company Myriad Group today announced the release of Alien Dalvik - a Java machine that allows you to run Android OS applications on Maemo. As stated in a press release, Dalvik “Alien” is able to run most of the applications built for Android without any changes by simply rebuilding the apk software package.

The best part is that all applications run in Alien Dalvik absolutely native and look like native applications under Maemo. According to a press release, this Java machine will be available for purchase under MeeGo OS this year. Despite the fact that only MeeGo support is claimed, the N900 participates in the demonstration with its native Maemo 5, therefore users of this piece of iron can cross their fingers in the hope that future happiness will fall to them too.
