Texas Instruments is preparing a system-on-chip OMAP 5 with 3d support

Specifications platform OMAP 5:

• 28-nm process technology
• two ARM Cortex-A15 cores with a frequency of up to 2GHz and two iCortex-M4 cores (dual dual core);
• 3D graphics accelerator PowerVR SGX544-MPx;
• 2D graphics accelerator TI 2D graphics core;
• IVA-HD video accelerator for 1080p HD video;
• audio processor;
• C64x DSP;
• M-Shield security system with a set of cryptographic functions;
• support up to 4 high resolution displays;
• support single HDMI 1.4a 3D display;
• energy efficiency is 60% higher than OMAP 4.

SoC OMAP 5 is designed for future smartphones, tablets, embedded devices and ultraportable laptops.
