Social goals

I have already described my startup in Habré. 42gola is a simple tool for personal purposes. We are gradually developing, slowly but surely recruiting active users. Yandex is not buying us yet, and for some reason Google silently stands aside. Finally, after seeing the “Social Network”, and, having bought cold beer in green bottles, it was decided how to take over the world with our startup. That's what came out of it:

Users got the opportunity to create a social profile in which they will post reports on their achievements for the given purposes. On the main profile page you can add graphs showing the progress of a particular goal. For example, the run distance during a month, the number of push-ups or cigarettes smoked as a graph. This is how the graphic designer looks like:

You can set the type of graph (bar chart, line, area, pie), period, grouping (for example, by day of the week) and add. parameters (eg “line smoothing”). At the moment, you can add up to 3 graphs, however, we will soon be able to change the location and number of graphs. I think we will beat Facebook soon :)
But seriously, the social component is a natural step in the development of the project. We started with a goal accounting tool; now we are trying to create a user community to share experiences. And that's why it is needed.

Public goals

The fact is that a “public statement” is very important in achieving the goal. It's one thing when you try to quit smoking (start running in the morning, save money for a car) alone, and quite another when you announce it to your friends (“From now on, no cigarettes, and don't offer!”) By adding social functions, we tried to bring the “public goal” effect online. In the “goals” tab of your profile you can mark the goals you want to share with your friends. Your friends will see progress, encourage in case of failures, praise in case of success.

Sign in with Twitter / Facebook

We still have about 13 thousand registered users, and, of course, your friends among them may not be. But so that they could comment on your goals, we added authorization in 1 click through Twitter and Facebook.

Although, to be honest, you need a second click: confirm authorization on the provider website.

About OpenId - no, not yet implemented.

What's left overs

Another bunch of ideas that we did not have time to implement. Others that have implemented, but have not yet released. And the third, who released, but they are still raw (for example, you can keep your blog, add friends), and we will still work on them.
Your comments and suggestions for the project are always important, and I will be glad to hear any opinion.
All new features and previous basic features are free, and registration is now even easier. Especially for readers, Habra added a coupon, when buying an annual premium account, you can enter the code HABRAHABR with which you will receive a discount of $ 15.
