You probably have a "regular cell phone", which can call, play music from a flash card and pretend to be on the occasion of a card reader when connected to a "big brother." Well, or was. Or have your other half / parents / children / grandparents / etc. Have you ever thought of using it in a more geeky way than just a means of communication? I do not mean modifying the firmware and getting console access to the phone itself, no - everything is much more banal and more interesting at the same time.
You will need:
- Computer
- Any cell phone with a USB cable, support for flash cards and the ability to connect to the computer as a regular "flash drive" (almost all modern Nokia, Motorola, Samsung, devices on Android, the list goes on)
- Hiren's.BootCD.iso (or any similar boot image)
- grub4dos
- Card reader for the type of flash memory that is installed on your phone.
- The desire to feel like a geek :)
To begin with, we will make our flash drive from the phone bootable, following the simplest instructions from the official website of Hiren's Boot CD:
www.hiren.info/pages/bootcd-on-usb-disk
We will return the card back to the phone and connect it to the computer by selecting the connection mode for accessing the USB flash drive on the phone (if necessary) (on the Nokia 2710 - “Storage”)
')
Everything is ready - you can boot from your phone :)
Menu Hiren's Boot CD - choose, for example MiniLinux
Loaded
We work by booting from the phone, if that - no one will suspect you of such a perversion:
We listen to the music from the phone, in every sense:
In theory, it should work on any phone with a flash card and the ability to work as a card reader.
