New version of Windows Phone Developer Tools with Copy / Paste support released.
Today, Microsoft has released another major update for its application development tools for the Windows Phone 7 mobile platform. This update includes long-awaited support for working with the Copy / Paste feature.
Updating development tools contains the following innovations:
the updated Windows Phone emulator supports new Copy / Paste functionality, details on testing this feature can be found in this article ;
corrections in the Pivot and Panorama elements with the correction of a major error related to the selection of text in these elements;
In this update, there are new utilities Capability Detection Tool and Connect Tool, which allow you to check the requirements of the created program to the device and organize the connection to the PC on which the Zune Software package is not installed, respectively;
Updated Bing Maps Silverlight Control with improvements to handle gestures;
The update contains a fix that adds the ability to place XAP files with a size of more than 64 megabytes on real Windows Phone 7 phones for testing and debugging purposes.
The update itself consists of two parts: the main WindowsPhoneDeveloperResources_en-US_Patch1.msp package and the update for Visual Studio VS10-KB2486994-x86.exe . The main package should be installed first, then the update for Visual Studio.
