Hotmail distributes disposable email addresses

According to statistics, on average, each person uses three mailing addresses. In advanced geeks, countless temporary or one-time addresses are added to this. One-time email is needed constantly: to register in different services or to post on the forum. Immediately after using such an address you can destroy and forget.

Previously, for registering one-time emails, you had to use exotic services like Dispostable , Pepbot , TempAlias or Sneakemail . At the same time, the address looks non-standard and can be blocked on the forum where you want to keep it. But now there was a normal way. The developers of Windows Live Hotmail went to meet the users and launched the feature of one-time addresses (aliases).

Previously, Hotmail had only the function of expanding an address using the “+” sign. That is, you could add any word to the address after the plus, and this mail automatically arrived in a separate mailbox folder entitled with this keyword. For example, all mail from the address doctor-smith+birzha@live.com came to the birzha folder, and mail from the address doctor-smith+zhena@live.com to the zhena folder, etc. Of course, this method did not save from spammers, who easily calculated the real address doctor-smith@live.com .

In turn, aliases allow you to create a completely new postal address, letters from which will be sent to a separate folder in your Windows Live mailbox. Thus, now you do not need to re-register and all aliases are served from under one account. Hotmail is allowed to set up to five aliases per year , a maximum of 15 pieces.

It turns out that Hotmail developers are still capable of some kind of innovation. Well, great thing! We are waiting for this to appear on Gmail.
